Décor For Dog Lovers
"Here she comes!" All excited, muddy paws, wet belly. Beloved dog. - I'm sure you know the feeling... It's like an inevitable minor catastrophe is going to happen when you open the door. Hold on to the collar and grab the dog towel, trying to be fast and thorough at the same time.

March 2024:
Yes, this happens almost every day. Many times in a day. And yet, we love them. Dogs truly are family members. And so are cats.
If you have a large size dog, you already know that they need space; not just inside but outdoors. From the décor perspective, it's waste of money to buy expensive area rugs or super posh tosh cushions (unless you have trained your dog not to take naps on the couch!)
My husband and I have chosen more relaxed way to deal with our furry baby, Susi. She can enjoy her dog life, including jumping on the (blanket covered) couch and running wildly after the "Chuckie" balls in the backyard.
I love area rugs. But I love our dog more. So, the compromise is ... outdoor rugs. Not all my rugs inside the house are outdoor rugs, but some are. Placing them strategically helps keep unwanted paw marks at minimum as those types of rugs are easy to clean.
Fortunately today's outdoor rugs are beautiful, variety is almost endless. Patterns and textures are plentiful, and you can even hose them down on your driveway or backyard.
Another thing... you don't want to lay anything too pricey on the coffee table. One good tail swing will throw that precious thing into the other side of the room.
Sending well wishes for you and your furry friend!
