Value The Good You Have
Getting used to and bored with spaces, furniture and décor we currently have is understandable. Wear and tear is inevitable. However, much can be done with a refresh instead of a total demolition.
RENOVATION
January 2024:
Who wouldn't be severely tempted when visiting a newly renovated space? I'm among the first ones to admit that it's exhilarating; in my mind the comparison to my current space has already started.
Before throwing out your worn out wing chairs or demolishing the whole bathroom, give yourself a pause. Maybe there is still something worth saving for? No? Are you sure?
The reason I'm saying this is that most of us are over the moon when we see an opportunity to get rid of something we no longer like. Plus rush to order that gorgeous furniture we saw online, now on sale! - Fair enough, sometimes it really is time to let go. It's possible that your kitchen cupboard doors are beyond repair.
Oftentimes though, we might just not have the knowledge about the value of items that we so sincerely dislike. It's possible that those cupboard doors are actually made of solid wood and they have never been fixed before. They look ugly now, but a skilled painter will give them a new life. Or at least seven more years! And it's "not nothing" in my books.
Happy discoveries with your stuff!
